About Makeala
.
Having grown up a “military brat” I learned at an early age how to be flexible and adapt to new environments, while maintaining stability and continuing to move forward -- all of which have helped shape me as an individual, educator, and life coach. Like many, I have experienced some very trying times, lots of loss of loved ones, personal changes, and many gains personally and professionally, so I am trained both formally and informally in helping my clients sustain healthy mindsets as they achieve their next levels of success!
Feeling a bit stuck and overwhelmed myself, as though there were something more I was supposed to do, I received training as a Certified Professional Coach. I later started my coaching practice in 2017 to help people get beyond the overwhelm, clearly articulate their goals, identify potential roadblocks hindering them, and develop a vision for success.
With almost 16 years of experience at the secondary( 7 years) and post-secondary education (9 years) levels, I have successfully taught personal and professional development courses, advised and trained high school students and adults on how their habits, attitudes, beliefs, and expectations impact performance.
Having been coached myself, I can attest to how empowering the process can be! Most importantly, I am truly dedicated to helping you reach YOUR next level of success!
Fun facts: I would eat chocolate for dinner if I could, I love to travel, spend time with loved ones, and go Ziplining (once over gators; not sure if I'd do that again! 😕
